What is the Brain Personality Connection?

The Brain Personality Connection is the connection between the wiring in your brain and how that is reflected in your personality. This is the science behind the psychology of what makes people tick-why they do what they do. This is the complex combination of your DNA code and your Nurture. Current neuroscience helps us to understand the basis for all personality traits by using highly sophisticated neuroimaging technology.

Why is understanding the Brain Personality Connection or BPC so important?

Gaining a basic knowledge of the BPC will assist you in identifying your NATURAL brain gifts or brain strengths. This is what your brain does with ease. It’s energy expenditure advantage quadrants. When you gain this understanding, you will quite literally spend less energy throughout the day to accomplish what you need to do and therefore have more success and feeling of thriving instead of just surviving.

How will education on how neuroscience and the Brain Personality Connection make you more successful in life, business, and relationships?

Through education on the above-mentioned subjects you will learn how to tap into the parts of your brain that are your natural advantage and gift. You will also learn techniques proven by neuroscience to make the most of these gifts and your brain power to truly TRAIN YOUR BRAIN FOR SUCCESS!

What is the Brain Personality Connection Assessment or BPCA?

This is the most comprehensive personality assessing tool available on the market today. Unlike other personality tests that focus on psychology and the basics of personality typing, the BPCA dives deep. It uses the latest in research coming from the neuroscience Field and takes into consideration 5 facets to give you a profile that is far more complete than any other.

What are the five facets of the Brain Personality Connection?

The five facets are 1) Your Brain Quadrant Dominance 2) Your Sensory Modality 3) Your Introversion/Ambiversion/Extroversion Level 4) Your Brain Gender 5) Your Nurture

What is Brain Quadrant Dominance or BQD?

The brain is divided into 4 main quadrants separated by natural fissures. According to some neuroscientist such as Richard Haier, you have the ability to spend up to 1/100ths the amount of energy in one of these 4 quadrants. In your BQD you need less glucose, micro-nutrition, and oxygen to process a thought there. This is your area of energy expenditure advantage, where your brain loves to play!

What is Sensory Modality?

This is the way that your brain processes incoming data with the greatest amount of ease. Most efficiently and effectively. It can also be called your learning style or communication preference.

What is Introversion/ Ambiversion/ Extraversion Level or I:A:E Ratio?

The brain has a preference as to how much incoming data it likes to receive at any given moment. That is the VOLUME of data that comes in. Your I:A:E Ratio is where you are at on that scale. Your brain either prefers a lot of data all the time or little data all the time or somewhere in between. This is crucial to gain understanding of this for your social and business interactions. Without knowing where you are or knowing where the person you are interacting with is at on this scale you can be overwhelmed and go into brain safe mode or you can send the other person into brain safe mode.

What is Brain Safe Mode?

This is a situation that happens when your lower brain, your subconscious or in reality your amygdala feels overwhelmed or threatened in fear of danger. When this happens, it takes over and uses all available energy resources to control the body and brain for its protection. That being said it is not always right. When it goes into safe mode it will prevent you from conquering your challenges, fears, and at times success goals that it feels may be dangerous.

What is an Ambivert?

An ambivert is the person who can relate to being both introverted and extroverted depending on the day or the situation. They can often successfully function in both sides of the spectrum. They comprise of approximately 40% of the population.

What is the Nurture portion of the Brain Personality Connection?

This is the “can o’ worms” as I like to call it. Unlike the other 4 facets of the Brain Personality Connection it is not encoded in your DNA. It is the way you were raised. Your life growing up. This includes, but is not limited to: Family expectations, societal expectations, birth order, cultural expectations, early childhood or childhood trauma, and family dynamics. Because it is NOT what is natural to your brain it can often DERAIL you so to speak from accessing and living connected to your true brain gifts and strengths.
